Amines can be considered as ammonia derivatives, like alcohols and ethers formally come from water.
Yet, there are some differences...
There exist primary, secondary and tertiary amines which depends on the number of carbons bonded to nitrogen - one, two and three, respectively.
This is a difference with alcohols where the substitution at carbon, and not at oxygen, is responsible of making it be primary, secondary or tertiary.
